Goten laughed and reached into his pocket, pulling out a small newspaper

clipping. "Well, anyway, I wanted to show you this.." Goten handed

Trunks the newspaper clipping and Trunks read it. 

"They're having a Budaki Tournament next week?!?" He yelled happily."When

I tell the girls they might consider staying...er-well at least for

awhile!" 

Goten looked at Trunks strangely, then blushed. "I was thinking and

hoping the same thing..." 

Trunks smiled and put an arm around his friend. "Well, you know what

they say, great minds think alike!" The two of then headed off in search

of the girls. They made it to the waterfall when they decided to rest. 

Goten sat on a rock and sighed. "Man, where did they go?" He wiped a

sweat drop off his forehead. 

Trunks pointed a couple feet in front of them to the girls resting

behind a tree. 

"Shhh....Goten, I think that'd them.." he whispered quietly in Goten's

ear. 

Briana sighed and dipped her hand in the water. "Tauni, I really want to

stay..." she said softly. 

Tauni growled at her sister and turned around, spotting the two boys

spying on them behind another tree. She blushed then stood up angrily.

"WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING!?" She yelled, causing both boys to jump. 

Trunks blushed and put his arm behind his head nervously. Goten spoke

too soon, thinking up an excuse, which he should have put more thought

into. "We were just watching you..er.." A sweat drop appeared on his

face. 

Tauni grew angrier and stomped over to Goten and looked him in the eyes.

"You were what!?" She glared at him and he backed up slowly. 

"I meant we wanted to show you this.." He handed Tauni the clipping and

her eyes softened up as she turned to her sister. She smiled to Briana

as she called her over to them. Briana walked over and  Tauni smiled again 

handing Briana the clipping, Briana's eyes lit up. "Does that mean we can stay!?" 

She yelled anxiously. 

Tauni laughed evilly. "Only long enough to win the Tournament." Briana

hugged her sister and Goten and Trunks slapped each other high five.

Briana and Tauni trained as long as they could. Goten and Trunks trained

as well, but the day before the tournament Trunks came to Goten wiith

terrible news. "Sorry, bud, but I'm not going to be able to fight in the

tournament." 

Goten looked shocked. "WHAT!?!?" He looked into Trunks' eyes as if

looking to see if he was telling the truth. "But, you have to!! Why!?" 

Trunks sighed and looked down. "I can't, because of Capsule Corp, we've

been getting very busy and with all this training I couldn't finish all

my work. I might be able to make it there to cheer for you after I

finish though." 

Goten cheered up a bit and faked a smile. "Yeah, sure...I guess.." Then

he smiled and punches his buddy in the shoulder. "I wanted to kick your

butt!" 

Trunks laughed. "Yeah, like you could beat me!" 

Goten growled at Trunks as he laughed. "Hey! I've been training alot

more and I bet I'm at least as strong as you, or maybe stronger!" The

two of them continued talking and laughing at each other. 

Briana got blasted into a wall, she sat up slowly and glared at her

sister. "I told you already, Tauni! I'm not going to fight anymore until

the tournament! I need a new gi!!" 

Tauni smirked and helped her sister up. "Okay. I need new armor as well.

Think Goku and Vegeta will have extras??" 

Briana smiled and took Tauni's arm and jerked on it, sending her into

the ground. "Yep!" She ran off with Tauni cussing angrily and running

after her. 

Briana stopped suddenly at Goku's door, making Tauni bang into her. Goku

opened the door, looking surprised. "What are you two doing here?

Shouldn't you be training?" 

Tauni smirked and punched Briana in the shoulder. Briana rubbed her

shoulder and smiled up at Goku. "Do you have any extra gi's??" Briana

looked up at him hopefully. 

Goku smiled, nodded and walked inside, coming out with a small gi. "This

one shrunk when Chichi washed it, it should fit you." Briana bowed and

the two of the girls started towards Vegeta's. They got new armor for

Tauni and soon the day was over and the next morning had begun. The two

of them headed towards Capsule Corp, where Goten decided to meet them.

They walked inside, spotting 

Goten sitting at a table looking depressed. 

Briana sat down by Goten. "Ready to go? Where's Trunks?" She said, Tauni

just looked at the two of them. 

Goten sighed then stood up in his gi. "He's not coming, he has to work."

Goten headed out the door, being followed by Tauni and Briana. 

They all headed to the Tournament, Briana smiled when they got there.

"Man, this is so cool!" Tauni smirked and headed to a huge poster that

showed everyone who was going to fight. 

Goten walked after Tauni and looked up at the poster then to her. "Think

you'll make it to finals??" He smiled and tied his belt tighter. 

Tauni looked Goten in the eyes. "Of course. Don't underestimate me,

because I'm a girl!" Goten walked back, looking nervous. 

He shook his hands in front of his face and a sweat drop appeared on his

face. "No, no, no! That's not what I meant!" He said as he put his arm

behind his head. Tauni just looked at him strangely and walked back to

Briana, just as the announcer began. 

The anouncer held up his mircrophone and spoke out loud and clear. "The

tournament is going to begin in fifteen minutes!! The first battle is

between Ookami Tendowen and Brittany!!" Everyone cheered after he was

done. 

Briana turned to Goten. "Who is Brittany??" She asked curiously, she

figured she was probably some whimpy girl that would be easily beaten.

Goten pointed to a tall girl with short dark brown hair and brown eyes.

She wore a strange outfit, which consisted of a blue and black long

sleeved shirt, with a hole where her belly button is, only having

another shirt under, to cover it. She had on spandex shorts under scraps

of pants. She also held a staff with a Dragon's claw at the end, holding

a ball. Briana cocked an eyebrow at her then laughed to Goten. "I think

she took a wrong turn to the costume party!" 

Goten laughed. Brittany seemed to notice them staring and walked over,

she stopped when she got to them and bowed. "Hello, I'm Brittany." Briana

looked strangely at her then bowed. 

She smiled and then introduced herself. "I am Briana Kayama, and this

guy over there," She pointed to Goten. "Is Son Goten." Goten bowed as he

was introduced. 

Brittany looked nervous. "I can't believe I'm first!" Briana smiled and

patted Brittany on the back. You'll do fine!" Brittany smiled as another

announcement went off. 

"We will begin quite shorty. Now I will read the rules! If you land out

of the ring you are disquaified! If you kill your opponent you are

disqualified! No weapons are allowed!" Brittany sighed and set her staff

aside. "The first match will begin!!" 

A tall man with shaggy black hair and black eyes, wearing only a pair of

white pants and a black belt, came walking up to the tournament grounds

followed by Brittany on the other side. Briana nudged Goten in the side.

"I bet that's Ookami." Goten looked at her obviously. "Well, duh, it's him!!" Briana 

looked embarrased and turned away and looked at the fight. Brittany got into a

fighting stance and did a couple kicks in the air. 

Ookami looked at her, then laughed. "Because your a girl, I will go easy

on you." He flexed his muscles and the crouds cheered. 

Brittany didn't take too kindly to that remark and flew towards him

kicking him in the jaw. She sent him flying back, but he got up before

he went out. He got up, cracked his jaw and turned to her. "Was that the

best you got?" He laughed and threw a couple punches towards her,

missing her every time. Brittany laughed, and dodged another small punch,

she ducked, turned and tripped him. He fell flat on his face, when he

got up, he looked very nervous and his nose was bleeding. Brittany dove

on him, at the exact right time and punched him in the spine, then

kicked him out of the arena. 

The announcer was shocked, that was one of the shortest fights in

history! "Well, I..er....Brittany is the winner!!!" The croud was silent

for awhile, but cheered after realizing what happened. Brittany blushed

then walked over to Briana. 

Briana cheered for her and pat her on the back. "Great job! Told you,

you could do it!!" Brittany blushed again as Goten and Briana recited

the whole battle and cheered on Brittany. 

Tauni looked at them in disgust. "It was a simple battle, he was a

weakling." She smirked. "Anyone could've beat him, he was all brawn no

brain." 

Briana sighed and blocked Tauni from their view."Don't mind her, Britt."

Briana said angrily. "She's like that." Brittany smiled and the

announcer introduced the next contestants. 

He looked ready for this battle, probably hoping it'd be longer than the

last. He rubbed his hands together then began. "The next battle is

between Amaterasu and Roxy Lulu!!!" The crowd cheered as two pretty

ladies walked out. One had blonde hair and wore a pink spandex outfit

with a purple skirt. The other had wavy light brown hair, with a bun on

top and greenish-blueish eyes. She wore a dress, with a wiccan necklace

and also had long  boots. 

Tauni snickered again as the two ladies got into their positions. "I

think this is turning into a beauty contest!" She snorted. Goten and

Briana laughed, but Brittany seemed to have walked off, probably getting

ready for the next fight.

Roxy Lulu, the one in spandex started twirling around, faster and

faster, until she just appeared to be a whirling pink tornado. She

swirved towards Amaterasu, but she missed, giving Amaterasu a chance to

attack, she dove into the center of the tornado, knocking Roxy Lulu out.

Roxy managed to get up, still with a fighters spirit.

The announcer went crazy! "After a wonderful attack, Roxy is sent onto

the ground, but gets up still in great condition!!!" The crowds cheered.

Roxy jumped up into the air and came down onto Amaterasu like a rock,

sprawling her against the ground. She figured Amaterasu was out cold, so

she got up and raised her hands into the air. Amaterasu, not being able

to be defeated so easily, got up and roared as she raised her own arms

into the air, summoning an inantation. "Ghost Rush!!!" She screamed,

causing a huge white cloud to appear above her. It soon splitted up into

many ghosts, leaving Roxy pale.

Roxy got up the courage to face Amaterasu and the many ghosts, feeling a

bit braver she yelled back. "Your foolish tricks won't scare me!!" 

"Tricks? Are they!?" Amaterasu hissed as she lunged onto Roxy, bringing

all the ghosts with her, she managed to slip away to get ready for

another incantation. The ghosts were taking care of Roxy for her.

Amaterasu yelled, with her hair waving around her. "Aegis!!" She

screeched as she seemed to have grown in power, a ki shield surrounded

her as she dove onto Roxy, delivering the final blow, knocking her out

cold!

The announcer was speechless at first, but managed to speak after he

smiled and the crown cheered again. "And our winner after putting up a

great fight is Amaterasu!! Now, now, now, people was that a great fight

or what!?" The crowd screamed and cheered and one person even sent their

hotdog into the air, landing in front of Tauni.

The next two contestants walked up to the arena before they were called.

One was a large woman, with black hair and eyes, she wore a tight red

outfit that caused some of the crowd to lose their lunch. The second was

a young girl, abou fifteen or older. She had pretty green eyes and her

long brown hair in a pony-tail. She also wore saiya-jin armor, when

Biana caught a glimpse of her, her eyes bulged and she spit out the

juice she was drinking. Tauni didn't seem to notice her, or anyone.

Briana stared at the girl, not able to move. "No...." she mumbled to

herself. "Anything but her..." Goten looked at Briana curiously and

offerered her a napkin.

"Who?" He asked a couple times before getting an answer. Briana wiped

off the juice and looked at him. 

She put her hand through her hair and sighed. "No one......" It can't be

her, she thought to herself, no there's no way! She continued comforting

herself as she walked inside to look at the battle chart.

The announcer giggled at the name of the first contestant. "For our

third match we have Vaca Shishi and..." Vaca Shishi was obvously the

large woman because she raised her bulky arms in the air cheering for

herself. "Jaime!!" He ended it. Briana had heard it clear, even Tauni

seemed to notice this time....
